Salterns Hotel is on Poole Harbour in the exclusive suburb of Lilliput. Located midway between Poole Quay and the Sandbanks peninsula, approx. 1.5 miles from Poole Town centre.

Roles currently available:

Part Time Receptionist – 25 hours – Permanent

We are looking for a part-time receptionist to join our team. This post will be 25 hours per week across 4 shifts, increasing to further hours when cover is required. The successful candidate will be flexible and reliable to cover other evening and day shifts.

Reception experienced is desired but not essential.

The ideal candidate for this role is a positive, committed individual with a good work ethic. As front of house, you must have excellent customer service skills, be able to work well under pressure and in a busy environment. Engaging with hotel and dining guests is a necessity.

An example shift pattern for this role is as follows:

Monday – 8am – 3pm, Tuesday – 3pm – 9pm, Wednesday – 3pm – 9pm, Friday – 3pm – 9pm

Chef de partie – Full Time – Permanent

An opportunity has arisen for a Chef de Partie role at the Salterns Hotel. We have a busy Bistro, Wedding and Function trade as well as popular stock of 20 hotel rooms.

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate:

      • A passion for food and be able to channel this into what customers desire
      • Be excited and experienced working with fresh produce
      • Either live locally or have transport, as public transport is limited
      • Have excellent communication skills
      • Be enthusiastic and hard-working, with a positive attitude
      • Have a proven track record in reputable restaurants or hotels
      • Experience of 1 year is required

        * Due to its location, it is useful if you live within easy travelling distance of Lilliput in Poole, or have your own transport. Hotels operate every day of the year and a flexible approach to working days and times is required. Please note the hotel does not offer live-in positions.
