Walking past to the end of the Marina you’re able to get a lovely view across Blue Lagoon to Poole Quay with a particularly stunning sunset.

Have a picnic on Evening Hill

Approximately 10-12 minutes walk from us at Salterns is one our most favourite spots in Poole – Evening Hill. It’s a stunning spot with some simply breathtaking views across Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island and Sandbanks. Also the ideal location to watch the France and Channel Island bound ferries in the Harbour.

With some conveniences stores on route it’s couldn’t be better placed to make use of the numerous picnic benches and is on route to Sandbanks beach.

Poole Harbour Watersports Paddleboard Hire

Around half an hour’s walk will take you to the small beach at Poole Harbour. Here you can rent SUP (Standup Paddleboard) from Poole Harbour Watersports either by the hour or day. There’s also kayak and windsurf rental.

Paddleboards are great fun for all the family and can be rented from £15/hour.

Opening times are weather and condition dependent so best to give them a call first if you can. All rentals come with bouyancy aids.
